"The BDFA has given me hope, encouragement and support and helped me recognise the good things and that happy times can still be accomplished by my daughter and the rest of the family"

The BDFA wish to thank everyone who supports us

Our main event this year was our 3rd BDFA Sponsored Walk Challenge on 10th May 2008, which  raised a fantastic £25k this year.  Read about in our summer newsletter (in our download section).  A huge thank you to everyone, from babies to Grandads, who took part and all family, friends and work colleagues for their generous sponsorship. Come and join our next one on 16th May 2009 for a great time raising vital funds and awareness – just contact us on bdfa.info@btinternet.com to register your interest.

Recent support has come through our regular Benefactors and Sponsors

Lorraine Evans Libby Laney John Parkinson Elaine Cooper Lillian Hogan Anne Baird James Pickering John and Marjorie Kembery Emma O’Loughlin Mark Benson • Barbra Higgins • anonymous donors through the CAF

Regular payment donations are particularly useful as the income they provide enables us to plan ahead to meet future needs. A small amount that you may not miss each month builds up to an impressive sum over a year or so!

Blue Pepper Designs – for the typesetting of our BDFA newsletter • Nick Westgate and Maggie Chisholm – for website support • Seeability/Heather House – for the continued support of the growth and development of the BDFA and for Seeability's commitment to supporting young adults with JBD •  Palmerston Ltd for accounting software support •  Josie Bate – for PR support • Pam Hughes – for printing our BDFA T-shirts.

Supporting us ‘in kind’ helps keeps our costs down to make our valuable resources go further to support our charity’s work.
