The Board of Trustees are very pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Barber as the BDFA’s new Chief Executive.
Samantha will join the BDFA as Chief Executive on 21st May 2018. Prior to joining us, she is taking the opportunity to learn about the Charity and her new Team.
Samantha has held a number of senior roles in the voluntary sector including Chief Executive of UCanDoIT, an IT and disability charity, and Director of Public Relations at Stoll, a housing and support charity for disabled veterans. While at the Social Care Institute for Excellence, she worked on the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes for Children and Young People Services and the Learning Together methodology for case reviews.
Samantha holds an MSc Voluntary Sector Management (Distinction) from Cass Business School and is a member of a number of professional bodies including ICSA. She is Trustee of RAFA and Harrison Housing.
We are delighted to welcome Samantha to the BDFA and look forward to working with her to continue to make a difference to the lives of those affected by Batten disease.
