The 9th of June is International Batten Disease Awareness day! We can’t wait to see what you all have planned, spread awareness and celebrate the incredible people in our community together. Don’t forget to tag us so we can see how you are raising awareness and share it on our socials too!

Go big and go orange!

As always, we are aiming to turn the UK and social media orange. Share your orange photos, wear orange to work or school and decorate your street with orange balloons!

We are delighted to announce that for Awareness Day 2026 the BDFA are once again doubling donations through our Big Give fundraising campaign.


We are pleased to share that we’ll be raising funds for our core operations so that our team can continue their vital work in supporting families with the many challenges they face, advocating for families and raising awareness amongst healthcare professionals and policy makers.

Donations made to our campaign via our Big Give page will be matched all week until we hit our target!
