A big welcome to Becky Bower, who will be covering Laura while she is on maternity leave from May

A message from Becky,

I just wanted to take the time to quickly introduce myself to you all. As you are aware, Laura Lee will be starting maternity leave in May and I have the honour to take over from here as Battens Clinical Nurse Specialist during here period off. I first of all what to say a massive thanks personally to Laura, I have worked with her for the past 2 years and she has supported me immensely in this time. I know she is going to be greatly missed within the battens community during her time off but I would like you to join me in wishing her all the happiness with her little baby boy over the next year.

I have worked within the metabolic team for just under two years as a Nurse Specialist caring for children working with other lysosomal storage disorders. During this time I have worked closely with the LSD collaborative and the charity’s that provide amazing support to these families.
Before my time at GOSH I worked and trained at Sheffield Children’s Hospital where I worked in accident and emergency and neurology and neurosurgery.

I am looking forward to speaking/meeting you all and carrying on the brilliant work Laura started.

Becky
