Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is the main benefit to help meet the extra costs of having a disabled child. Yet when your child is in hospital for a long time DLA is taken away. Families tell us the extra costs don’t go away and stopping DLA heaps unbearable financial and emotional pressure on them. Contact a Family and the Children’s Trust think this is wrong. We are supporting the Mathieson family who are challenging this in court.
